Duct-Free and Ducted Systems

LG systems are available in a range of sizes and styles - from single zone solutions to whole home systems there is an LG air conditioning system to fit almost any need. With the ability to do a mix of indoor unit types, both duct-free and ducted, contractors are able to condition an entire home or light commercial project with a single outdoor unit while still installing a system that best works to for the needs of the occupants.

The LG Difference

LG is a leading player in the global air conditioning market, manufacturing both commercial and residential air conditioners and providing total sustainability and building management solutions. From consumer and individual units to industrial and specialized air conditioning systems, LG provides a wide range of high quality products for heating, ventilating and air conditioning.

Inverter technology

LG’s inverter variable-speed outdoor units are measurably quieter and use less energy than conventional air conditioners. Unlike conventional air conditioners that cycle on and off, an inverter compressor ramps up or down to match the capacity and maintain comfort levels and maximize system efficiency. While efficiencies are the greatest in a completely duct-free application, inverter technology isn’t exclusive to duct-free options, even homes with existing infrastructure can take advantage of the benefits of inverter technology as LG ducted mini-splits operate as high as 19.6 SEER.

LGRED° heat performance

The enhanced performance LGRED not only delivers heat when traditional models are unable, but does so with remarkable energy efficiency. LGRED° is industry-leading heat technology that provides 100 percent rated heating capacity down to 5 degrees Fahrenheit with continuous operation down to -13 degrees, offering comfort to users living in even the coldest climates.

Ducted, duct-free or both

With LG systems, customers have the option to go with the system that best fits their needs. Unlike conventional systems that require the use of ducts, LG systems have option of being completely duct-free, completely ducted or a hybrid of both. For example on a two story home that has a basement, the top two floors could have a ducted infrastructure with an LG VAHU while the basement has duct-free units giving homeowners the flexibility to only condition the basement when in use.
